Kevin Costner Is Reportedly Looking to Return to 'Yellowstone' For Final Season

A new twist in the Yellowstone saga. Following his departure from the series for its final season,

an additional report claims that Kevin Costner is hoping to do a U-turn and at least make a cameo appearance to conclude

the story of John Dutton in Taylor Sheridan's western series. As possibly the most popular show on television,

the series' cancellation was unexpected, following a disagreement between Costner and Sheridan over availability and compensation demands.

According to Puck, the last episodes of the original Yellowstone series have been scripted,

but filming is set to begin shortly. Costner has expressed a wish to return to the series, at least in a cameo role

if not more prominently, but there are no current conversations regarding such an arrangement. Despite this

there is concern that even if Costner lowers his demands for cash and time, the show's creator, Sheridan,

may be hesitant to edit his finished scripts simply to include a farewell for Costner's character, John Dutton.

However, knowing how popular it would be among the show's fans, Costner appears eager to capitalize on this, as he has in the past.
